OVEN & STOVE PROBLEMS

WILL NOT TURN ON

If an electric stove won’t start, ensure the appliance is plugged in and all circuit breakers are on. You should check the pilot light on gas stoves. If the stove power cord is plugged in or if the pilot light is on, then a different part of the appliance will need to be repaired. The reason for the problem could be the surface element, infinite switch, oven burner igniter or broil and bake element.

OVEN WON’T HEAT

A stove or burner that doesn’t produce heat won’t do much good. An oven won’t heat if there is a broken bake element or a malfunctioning oven sensor. A burner won’t fire up when an element breaks or when the burner switch or the terminal block do not work. We can repair these problems in no more than 1-2 hours after we arrive.

PROGRAM ISSUES

You can assume the control board on an oven is broken if the timer or program functions are not working. In this case, we can repair control boards for GE, LG, Sears, Kenmore, KitchenAid and many other brands of ranges, stoves and ovens. We provide a warranty on control panels and the manufacturer replacement parts we install for this type of oven repair service.

OVEN TEMPERATURE IS TOO HOT

You always should have a hot oven. Just not too hot! If the heat is out of control, it could be due to a problem with the thermostat or sensor. Our repairmen can diagnose the reason for the problem and fix it. But be careful if troubleshooting this problem for fear of burns from the very high and unpredictable heat source.

IGNITER DOESN’T LIGHT

A reoccurring stove problem is times where an igniter glows but does not light. The cause is from a broken surface igniter, safety valve, electronic control or temperature sensor. We can determine whether we can repair these parts or if we have to replace the part.

DOOR WON’T OPEN

New self-cleaning ovens are known to experience door issues often. The door does not open after the cleaning cycle. We inspect the door latch, thermostat and seal to find out why the door will not open up and then we complete the repair in order to resolve the problem.
